Informe temático sobre Protección de los niños afectados por la crisis de los refugiados: una responsabilidad compartida (SG / Inf (2016) 9).

En marzo de 2016, el documento del Secretario General titulado “Protección de los niños afectados por la crisis de los refugiados: una responsabilidad compartida” (SG / Inf (2016) 9) identificó una serie de acciones inmediatas y prioritarias para los Estados miembros y el Consejo de Europa. Ello permitiría mejorar la seguridad de estos niños y mejoraría el respeto de las normas de derechos humanos del Consejo de Europa, prestando especial atención a los niños no acompañados.

Desde su nombramiento, el Representante Especial del Secretario General sobre migración y refugiados (en lo sucesivo, el SRSG) [+]  ha llevado a cabo cuatro misiones de investigación para evaluar cómo el Consejo de Europa puede ayudar a los Estados miembros a gestionar los actuales flujos migratorios respetando sus compromisos e Instrumentos del Consejo de Europa en materia de derechos humanos.

Thematic Report on migrant and refugee children [SG/Inf(2017)13]. Prepared by the Special Representative of the Secretary General on migration and refugees (SRSG)

In March 2016, the Secretary General’s paper on “Protecting children affected by the refugee crisis: A shared responsibility” (SG/Inf(2016)9) identified a series of immediate, priority actions for member states and the Council of Europe. They would result in improved safety for these children and enhanced respect for the human rights standards of the Council of Europe, with a special focus on children who are unaccompanied.

Since his appointment, the Special Representative of the Secretary General on migration and refugees (hereafter the SRSG) has carried out four fact­finding missions in order to assess how the Council of Europe can assist member states to manage the current migratory flows, while respecting their commitments under Council of Europe human rights instruments.
